French Toast for Dinner

Decided on a quick and favorite meal for dinner. French toast. Sometimes I will add fruit, but today just butter and syrup. An easy dish to prepare. Just mix up eggs, milk, cinnamon and a little sugar or vanilla extract. Some use brown sugar. Whatever ingredients you like. Dip your bread in the mixture. Fry it in a pan until it is brown. And you are done. Powdered sugar is another good topping to add. Another favorite from my childhood. Dustin loved it as well.

That looks so good. Mike will make it for us. He enjoys using cinnamon raisin bread when making it. We decided on stuffed peppers for dinner tonight. Have a blessed evening.

That is an excellent idea. I love cinnamon raisin bread. The thick bread makes it very good as well. Stuffed peppers are so good. Have a great day.

Yum! We just do eggs and cinnamon on the bread . . . maple syrup after. I have not made that in a while - hmmm, tomorrow's breakfast

I love french toast, too, especially if I have french bread to make it out of. You have a lot of good memories of your boy.

@1creekgirl I used to and then I stopped. I got so caught up in it all the time. I had to take a break. Now I count on my mind to remember. That is a little scary.

I have a shaker of cinnamon and sugar I use for regular toast. That what I use. Not a lot of sugar.

Last night I eat a toast bread and butter too I just rub a little butter in my pan and put the bread on because I am lazy to put them in the toaster.Enjoy.

We had this when I was a kid. My mom called this egg toast (she didn't know the correct term) and we ate with jam.
