I got a friend request on Facebook from someone I had never met before. Her name sounds familiar, but she says she's never met me before. She claims to be deployed in Afghanistan, and looks like a tough horse girl, my favorite kind. But there's no way for me to know that she's not some hairy Russian guy, sitting there in his black watch plaid underpants, squirt-farting into said underpants and chain-smoking straight cigarettes, ash falling down his leg. Not very bonerific. Is there any real danger if I keep bantering with her? "She" hasn't said anything particularly clever yet. I don't believe her to be my future ex-wife.

Oh, that's not her. That's just a model I grabbed from the internet a few years ago. The gal in question is a bit "sturdier" looking. I'm pretty sure she's fake.

I no longer FB but I would always use those opportunities as toys. I would play the game and exchange messages. Sometimes for several days. I'd pay close attention to the exchanges and bring attention to discrepancies in messages. It's kind of fun to watch the transformation in the tone. The explanations. The changes to previous statements lol. Toys can be fun but don't ever open any links sent. Enjoy.

@TheHorse Maybe. Just keep in mind there is some goal for the out-of-the-blue contact. Messages are sent instead of friend requests normally. Chances are you'll hear of some issue that could only be fixed if... Check their FB profile. It usually tells you everything you need to determine the credibility of the person.

Is this a pic of her? If it is, somehow she doesn't strike me as a military girl. Now, if you are talking about her possibly being a "hairy Russian tough guy" you should include a bottle of vodka in the description.

@lovebuglena As you know, I am a former baseball, football, and hockey player who made most of my money endorsing products like...um...(insert appropriate product here). I play in several internationally known rock bands (true if you cound one view from India and one from Germany as "internationally known") and...um...and am so handsome that NOBODY has ever projectile vomited upon seeing me. I have been leary about some of the facebook friend requests I get nowadays. I always look at their page to see if they have any friends or any mutual friends. Usually they don't.
