Kansas City is flooded, but

Kansas City, probably both Kansas and Missouri, is having flooding. The place where I35 joins I 70 ended up getting closed down, I believe. Do not worry. I am not anywhere near there. I have seen weather pictures, though.
I now have the queen size mattress and box springs in the office, on their sides, along with the twin sized mattress and box springs. I am cleaning the carpet in that bedroom more and decided to even wash the drapes as I am sure they are dusty.
When I put the bed back in I may turn it 90 degrees, just for a change of pace. It is a lot of work, so I do not do this kind of thing often.

@GardenGerty that is much better. We have hot days the past two to three days and now it is gloomy and dark outside

Where I live, we did not get a lot. Just a nice, slow, gentle rain for about half the day.

Currently experiencing a thunder storm but I don't know if there's any threat of flooding here.

I hope there is no flooding there. My house is up on a hill, is your house safe?

@GardenGerty I tend to get some water in my basement when we have a lot of rain but nothing major.

@BarBaraPrz This house has no basement. Not sure if the crawl space gets it or not.

People used to do that more religiously than they do now.

Maybe the rivers there are in spate now.Rearranging the bedroom involves lots of physical work.

We had plenty of rain but no flooding, It is interesting though that I have lived here for four years now and the Halifax River is only a block away so I guess we are very lucky there have been no floods,

@GardenGerty I have no idea but I guess not since there are houses all along the riverside and I have never heard of any problems
