Words for a Special Friend

My friend's husband has bone cancer. I have talked about this earlier. They were Dustin's Godparents.
He is now home on hospice. Cannot tolerate the chemo treatments. Nothing left to do. His wife is very thankful to have him home. But also realizes she is slowly losing him.
We face time often. He was able to get out of the bed a few days ago for the first time. But of course he is very weak.
He told me he is enjoying his wife's cooking. I can hear the weakness in his voice.
I found this small journal the other day. And the words were perfect. The inside also says exactly how I feel about both of them.
She received it today and was in tears. Happy tears to be reminded she is not alone. Kindness goes a long way in life.

Kindness does go a long way. Sorry that he couldn't tolerate the chemo and that he's not doing great. You found a great card for them both.

Yes, I read that post, and this post tells me that it is tough to face the fact that the person will not be around for much longer. Very tough for wife who not only will lose her husband, but will also be alone in future. Friends can help to cover some of that loneliness and give her strength to cope with the crisis, as you all are doing. I can only pray and hope for some miracle from my saint, Sai Baba.
