Good morning from this side of the planet It's 8:30 AM here as I write this post. I woke up around 7 and was happy to see the sun. Yesterday the rain and drizzle were back in late afternoon. Others in the house are still in bed and I am enjoying the quiet time. Finished cooking breakfast and cleaning kitchen. Now I would do my yoga after this post. My gardener came on Thursday and Friday. A lot of work is done and the garden looks neat. It was a lot of work and needed few hours on two consecutive days. There are seven big garbage bags now full of garden waste and weeds. The garden looks neat but barren for now. Today, I asked him to come and help me sow some seeds for veggies. Hope it continues to be sunny and pleasant. I have put one load of laundry. You can see the harvests in the picture that I got. They were covered in weeds. . Now the next harvest would take couple of months. Have a good time in your mylot corner. Have a good weekend

Good morning. It's a sunny day here also. Great relief to see the sun almost after a month but clouds are still around seen scattered. May drizzle a little. Nice to see you harvest of carrot. It must be a great feeling.

@arunima25 The harvest is good particularly because it is organic without any pesticides or something like that.

It's the same here. We hardly had any sunny day in a month. I was glad to see this harvest. I had put the seeds in March before I got the virus. I could not take care of them after that. But still some harvest was there.

I hope you will get sunny days for a while then enough rain so the seeds will germinate and grow.

We mostly have south Indian breakfast. After this harvest we had carrot and bottle gourd sambhar with oats idli. Today it was roasted poha with kala chana masala. It is a favorite breakfast in Bihar called chura ghughani

Good that they are cheap and here too they are cheap ones. I could have got a better harvest if they were taken good care of.

I am back to gardening after four months after I contracted the virus in April. Today we sowed some spinach, radish, carrots, cucumber, chillies, fenugreek, ladyfingers and tomatoes. Let's see what all come out. Some pots are ready to get more seeds. I will sow some brinjals, bitter gourd and beetroot in them.

Yes, they are from my garden. I did not attend to my garden since March-end as I got Covid. I had planted them then and some of them grew despite no care. They were hiding among weeds. Now the garden is clean.

What a nice harvest! In previous years, all we really had were weeds . . . in fact the weeds were covering more weeds . You have a good weekend too!

@arunima25 Oh that is quite serious, how are you feeling now - are you fully recovered? Gardening is a huge task, I can see why you could not tend to your lovely garden. I always say maybe we should just have a garden of weeds . . . the maintenance is much easier as it seems to do fine on its own .

I couldn't attend to my garden in last four months. I got covid in April and had no energy for gardening. The beautiful garden soon turned into a jungle. And we had more weeds than the plants.

I have not talked to mom in the last three days as she was busy with some seminars and webinars. But what I saw in news was pictures of Delhi's road submerged in rainwater in news. It was reported that Delhi and NCR have received good rain in the last couple of days.

A true surprise! I was not expecting any harvest from carrots as I did not take any care of them after sowing the seeds. They were in fact sown in two pots and not repotted later as I would do otherwise. Seems they would have yielded more if they had more space to grow. They grew despite no manures and care.

Maybe. Also, just after putting the seeds in March, I got the virus. So they were left unattended for four months now. They would have been healthy if I put them in shade on heavy rain days and also if they got some manures on time.
