Have you tried Beef Mechado?

Hello 
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up with a light rain and was not able to wake up early today. Therefore, no morning walk but will have an evening walk later if the rain stops. I did my dancing exercise 
Today, I will be preparing a simple dish I learned from my late father. It is his favorite. This Beef Mechado is really somehow similar to Beef stew the only difference is that the sauce is from tomato paste and not tomato sauce and a table spoon of soy sauce in it. The taste is somehow a little different but I like to make it sometimes just to have a different taste from the beef 
How about you my dear mylotters? Have you tried Beef Mechado?

That`s ok. The soy sauce just brings a little salty to the dish. Thank you

If you know how to cook the beef stew it is the same way only that I used tomato paste and added up a tablespoon of soy sauce.

Oh ok. I just learned it from my father that making beef mechado is tomato paste it has other herbs in it that make the taste different from beef stew Thank you

That looks yummy! I haven't cooked any beef stews for while.. But it was my kids favourite when they were little, so i cooked it often back then..These days, I am staying away from red meat.. I miss it though..

I have not but I do make beef stew and I use Worcestershire sauce in the gravy which makes a nice change.

I cook something similar. I'll add tomato paste with my regular diced tomatoes. Thanks. That one there you cooked looks delicious.

My favorite. When I was young there's a canned mechado, that.came.easy when I crave for one. Lately I don't anymore see mechado in cans at the supermarket. Looks like about 2 or more years now. So got no choice but cook our own mechado or if available in some eateries I buy readymade.

Yes. It taste really good. Good thing that you can buy ready made food like that in your place. Here it is not available food like that. I really have to cook my own. Thank you
