Mama called the doctor and the doctor said . . .

Yep, this mama went in to the walk in clinic. I saw a doctor that I do not know.
He says I am giving it appropriate treatment, it is a cyst, and if it does not improve I can have it cut out, as an outpatient.
I told him I have some other concerns and asked to be referred to a dermatologist.
So, what I am doing is hot compresses and acetaminophen. I guess it works.

@GardenGerty I thoughyt that the doctor had not diagnosed you well. Still, what you are doing is good. Giving the cyst a time to go away first.

A cyst? And non cancerous I suppose..well that is good news Heather. But the dermo will take a biopsy if he needs to.

It is a little more comfortable today. The clinic called and said they had faxed my information and the doctor's report to a dermatology clinic.

@GardenGerty I hope you will hear from the dermatology clinic. I did a stupid thing yesterday, I badly burnt my palate tasting the jam that was boiling... I will eat only cold food for a few days.

No It is a cyst. There is no infection, and no cancer. It is painful right now, but I will be seeing skin doctor.
