Sometimes The More You Know

Today, I was sitting here mylotting, and I read a post from a mylotter, talking about crocheting, and others that responded to the post. I want to do a lot of things, and never really get started. What surprised me was to find out it is just not me. I always thought I had some kind of problem, being slow or just plain lazy. But when I read others who had materials in their home, and just hadn't got around to it. It actually made me feel better about myself. Mylot is a great place, because you can learn a lot about yourself, others.

It was such a blessing to read that, I thought it was just me. Now, I feel so much better. Thank you.

@cacay1 So true! We are all human, and at the core we go through the same emotions through all kinds of life experiences. We are fortunate to have this virtual hang out . . . I mean, this has been part of my life well before the pandemic and it has thankfully carried me through these difficult times. As they say, we are all in different boats, but we are on the same ocean.

You are not alone. I have few unfinished projects and chores there since a long time. But I am not in a mood or somedays just too lazy to finish them

I loved cooking. But my parent is ...sigh. From the last couple of months, I have taken to it with vengeance. He just whimpers. I have gotten appreciation for my cake from guess who? A chef working in five star hotel. Now, that is what I call memory revival. Now I am confident of baking cake. More to follow.

The one thing about mylot is we're all human. What you might think is abnormal might very well be very normal.

I agree! I've learned lots about myself from other lotters.
I bought a bunch of small jenga blocks to create something with and never did.

I like that too. In learning about others, it helps you see yourself more clearly.
I had always assumed that everyone lives the type of life that I enjoy.
Learning how difficult life can be really humbled me.
What I take for granted or complain about would be welcomed with open arms by people in other places.
MyLot is unique. I know of no other forum like it.

in my case, reading these things doesn't make me feel any kind of way because i know that my laziness isn't connected to theirs, i have to find a way to get out of that state
but also.... it's alright to be lazy sometimes

I also want to learn many things, but I often feel that before doing what I want I have to do something else, which is doing laundry, cooking, looking for a job and cleaning the house, so time is literally all used up, and only few little for rest.
