Called the doctor again

Because I had not heard from my referral, I called my local clinic. got the phone number for the dermatologist.
The earliest I can see a dermatologist is September 3. That would be in Wichita. I can wait until October if I want to see her at a closer clinic.
My doctor says that is too long to have no treatment and will have a Physician's Assistant drain it and prescribe antibiotics if needed. It will not be until Wednesday, but that is okay. It is coming.
So, that is the big deal with me today. Waiting on the phone since 8 a.m.

Oh boy that is a long time to wait for a specialist. I guess only you can make that decision about how long you want to wait.

ER costs a lot more. My personal doctor will take care of that we decided this morning.

@GardenGerty We pay nothing for the ER and nothing for the doctor, it is covered by the healthcare.

It's the same here, for even a regular doctor there's a long wait.

Right now I know people are trying to make up for when we had no elective work because of covid and then everyone is back to school as well.

@GardenGerty This might sound strange, but everything finds a way of working out.

Glad you will see the Physician's Assistant. Better to be safe than sorry with most things medical related
