French Toast Is Not Just For Breakfast

On these hot days, on most days actually, I don't want a big dinner. I have said many times how I love breakfast foods. Decided on french toast with butter and maple syrup for dinner. Skipped the bacon this time. Enjoyed this meal very much. Hit the spot. Now back to my photography project.

I never make a good French toast. I was telling my aunts today that I have given up trying to make baked ziti and pasta salad. I forgot to add French toast to that list.

@CarolDM I just can't get it right. Either I soak the bread too long and it is a mushy soggy mess that falls apart or I don't soak it long enough and it is toast with like a thin egg coating on the outside. At least I can make crepes.

That sounds good. I may do that later, after it cools off. It's still 90 here and doesn't get hot that often. I made bread the other day so I'm good to go. I was smart for a change and woke up early and made cold tuna salad. I have snuck into it a couple of times already and it should be nice and cold for dinner. I'm grilling fat burgers and have cantaloupe cut and chilled.

Oh it was delicious. Easy and just what I wanted. 90 here, feels like 100 at 6:30. Crazy. Your grilled burgers sound good and of course that cantaloupe as well. Enjoy!
