Zymon's Birthday yesterday.

My son (Zymon) turns 5 yesterday... And he was so happy..
I got to make his cake which is his personal request to have an M&M cake, so I did springkled a lot of M&M on top of it.. I just ordered Jollibee chicken, spaghetti and few boxes of pizza from the store to make it less hassle to cook..
Hubby made some Fried Fish fillet and also cook noodles to add it up for our little feast.. And I made some refrigerated Mango Cake for dessert.
We are not very fond having large feast and party thingy...
Before pandemic we would usually go on restaurant to celebrate there..
But all in all, everyone was full and zymon is happy..
Plus I'm didn't got very tired because of the perks having to order food on stores..
How do you manage to celebrate events like birthdays? Do you cook everything? Or order?

@Hanbinandaeyo I love cooking too!! But then I don't wanna spend time by washing utensils, planning the preparation and preparing and for that buying groceries before hand! I just want to have a good ME TIME!

I try to make all on my own but if it's a big number of people, I order a few things from outside and make few at home.

Pandemic times calls for pandemic improvisations. Glad you were able to throw a birthday feast for your little boy. That's about the age children begin to remember their childhood. Your Zymon will definitely cherish his 5th birthday all his life.
The important thing in birthday celebrations is thanking our God for the gift of life. The feast is secondary. Treating friends and family is an expression of gladness. Since the times call for a repression inside the home, singing happy birthday with just the three of you is simply perfect.

@sjvg1976 That's true.. i have lost my job when pandemic happens and that lasted for few months.. hubby and i suffered because of the pandemic...
I have experience really a zero balance during those times... it was really tough

You have a handsome son. If you ever need a babysitter, you can bring him to us... Of course, you might not get him back. 
I tease people a lot about paying for the things they are buying if they let me have their kids... Pretty laughs and tells me I have to get kids that are already potty trained because she doesn't want to do that.

I know.. Ha ha.. Of course you need to give him back to me,,.haha..
Zymon know how to do potty, But, he can't wash on his own.. I need to help him for this one..But still, he's on training for this..
We used to do that... but since it's more convinient to order we have made that..
I always cook food whenever I'm at home..so, a little rest for me when they order up..
That is so sweet of you.. Maybe one day you'll feed me as well.haha

before pandemic we use to go out to celebrate events.. But now, I either cook all the way, or half order half cook food..haha.. Less hassle for me

@Hanbinandaeyo First of Happy birthday to your son .Wishing both of you all the luck in the world. We celebrate birthdays and occassions depending on our schedule or budget . If we feel that there will be a member of the family who could not attend , we celebrate it ahead of the date so that its fair we can all go. For me the most convenient way is to order food. If there are personal request on a certain menu we will cook and prepare them .
