Vaccine is working oh so well

So, I see two more vaccinated governors have gotten covid. Good thing they were vaccinated. Of course, one is claiming he would have felt a lot worse without it, of course there is no real way to know that. They keep going back and forth about hope affective the vaccine is, but we keep hearing about those that are still getting the virus. To me that is not very effective and still not worth me taking the chance on getting it. I just don’t understand why I would take the chance on all the side affects to still have about a 48% chance of getting the virus. At least as the last thing I seen from the CDC said there is a 48-53% change that you could still get it. I say right now I have a 50% change to get it, either I will, or I won’t get it and that is without the vaccine. Again, I will put it out there. I am not saying someone else shouldn’t get it, if you want to get it go ahead and get it. I am just saying for me, I do not want it. Just like if you want to wear a mask go for it, hell wear 3 or 4 for all I care. I just don’t want to.

How can they prove that it would have been a lot worse without the vaccine??? If there is a 48-53% to get it even if vaccinated I think that many would consider that it is better not to take the risk to be vaccinated and encounter serious side effects.

@Bensen32 The doctors know that the vaccine does not stop the Delta mutation, but now they have produced the vaccine and they do not want to waste it, they want to be paid.

That is exactly why I have not gotten the vaccine and will not get it. Why take my chances you know if it was more like 90+ % I would be more likely to get it.

My understanding is that those who are fully vaccinated will have less severe cases of the virus even if they do wind up with a breakthrough case. I have pre-existing conditions so I was able to work virtually with a doctor's note last year. I got the vaccine to protect myself. I do what I can. It is so sad for me to keep reading stories and seeing videos of parents dying and crying and begging people to go get vaccinated. People show up in the hospital and are about to be put on a ventilator and they say "I want the vaccine". Yeah. That isn't how it works.

Yeah, I still don't believe it. I know a few people who have gotten the virus and didn't even know they had it, a few got the sniffles and a little fever. I am sure there are some that got sick just like with the flu every year.

I agree with you. This is expermental at best, and our govornment is using every tactic in the book to get as many people as possible vaccinated. Even though they realize the vaccine's effectiveness isn't what they thought, their answer.... booster shots. And who for, you may ask? The ill and immune compromised. yep. The very people most likely to have a severe reaction. Yep..... mreally smart aren't they?

I got vaccinated. I still wear a mask. I respect everyone’s right to do so. Or to not do so. The government isn’t my nanny.

I agree with you. I am not telling anyone what to do just like I dont want them telling me what to do.
