Another exhausted night

Again last night I did not make it back here. I was exhausted. I was in bed before 8 p.m. School is going well, but my student who had been out with covid is tireder than I am, if you can believe it. Our teacher is out taking training for a language arts program we use in our district but that is okay, our principal's wife is substituting. Routines are falling into place. I am getting missed phone calls from doctors who are trying to contact my husband. I had oatmeal with dried blueberries and walnuts in it. Very filling. Of course I have had my coffee. Now I must get serious about my day.

I have decided that going to school, whether to work or be a teacher/support person is hard work and quite exhausting.

You are living on a treadmill, quite similar to all the rest of your friends:)

@kobesbuddy Actually I feel like a juggler all the time. Work, my own health and hubby's health and then sister and brother as well.

Covid does leave after effect like that. It would take time for them to be fully heal.

I always found the first couple of weeks of school exhausting. It will all work out soon.

I am sure it will. It kind of drained me first to have that cyst and then to catch a really nasty cold on top of it.

@GardenGerty Take care of yourself. Feel better soon. For some reason the beginning of the school year seems to bring along infections.

Mmmm... oatmeal for breakfast. Good suggestion, unfortunately I don't have any blueberries.

I have heard that people who've survived covid tend to have other health issues as time goes by, hopefully your student is young enough to recover completely.

Since he was born with health issues I am surprised he fared as well as he did. Originally he was only expected to live for hours, or maybe days. He is nine years old and going strong.

Today, Thursday, he was livelier for part of the day. By about 1:00 he is pretty beat though. His choice would be to sit in my lap and be cuddled most of t he afternoon.

Yes, and I have already been told more than once that I am essential to this kid getting the best education our school can offer him.

Is school already in full term now? In my country only 1 day per 2 week for each student. And it only in school for 1-3 hours, max
