How Noisy Is Your Neighbourhood?

For the time being, we are in a subdivision, but after this summer it is so noisy and getting even noisier (is that a word lol) The next door neighbours are having a pool installed and they are either really loud or our house has walls made of paper. I can even hear the workers talking. We are seriously thinking of moving to the country in the spring... part of me loves the idea and the other part of me hates it. I honestly love it here, but this summer really has been difficult. And then there are the neighbours who loved to burn fires in their back yard and guess where all the smoke goes... right through the windows into our bedrooms. Always thought that this would be our last house... but it seems that it might be the next house that turns out to be our last one... So tell me how noisy your neighbors are... Oh, I also forgot to mention that we have one who thinks that he is a really good singer... and isn't lol. He can really play the guitar, but sing... not so much. ;)

I have a neighbour who would honk just to tell his family that he arrives, regardless of the time. I think he has issue to communicate like normal people.

It's very quiet where we are. We are in a semi-rural area with 1.25 acres. We love it.

Other than on holidays, we live in a fairly quiet neighborhood. On holidays, though, the neighbors on one side of us have their kids and grandkids over for the day... or two. (We've been invited over any time we feel like going but so far, haven't gone over to join them.)

We are lucky, the neighbors are quiet, we cannot burn stuff in the yard, at most someone prepare a BBQ in the garden for dinner, but the houses are distanced enough not to be a problem.

My neighbors are fairly quiet and even the kids who play outside arent rambunctious. Its a shame that you love where you live but the noise is making you consider another move.
