If your a watcher of detective shows that involve a murder you know how messy a crime scene can be. Crime scene investigators take photographs and physical measurements of the scene, identify and collect forensic evidence, and maintain and protect that evidence. Sounds like pretty interesting work although one would need a strong constitution to carry out this job. But there is another position to be done at the murder scene that's even worse! The one with the title "Crime Scene Cleaner."
CRIME SCENE CLEANER
Crime scene cleaners are people who have the tedious and disgusting task of cleaning the crime scene after the necessary investigation is done. The job of a crime scene cleaner is to clean and sanitize the area where a violent crime has taken place. This can include the cleaning of blood, body fluids, and even tear gas. Some crime scene cleaners are also responsible for cleaning up after suicides, icky.
Keep in mind that this job is not for people who get easily repulsed and nauseous after seeing a slaughtered victim's body and a massive bloody site. The clean up process for a homicide/suicide can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple days depending on the number of victims and the body's condition.
One positive though is the pay. Experienced Crime Scene Cleaners can earn a decent amount, up to $75,000 every year and they enjoy flexible work hours. Of course, that depends on the homicide/suicide rate in their area.
Could you have the stomach for this job? Or will you vacate the crime scene?
What say you?

@dgobucks226 I almost faint if I see blood, so this is surely not something I would even consider.

People in this job can suffer from trauma or even clinical depression. Another reason for thinking twice about this job!

@rebelann Interesting. So, one cannot become depressed over a job or tragic event? It's all hormones? I have to disagree.
There's no single cause of clinical depression. It can happen for a variety of reasons and it has many triggers. Traumatic or stressful life events can cause clinical depression. These include: bereavement. divorce. illness. redundancy.

I used to know someone who did this,. He was a medic in Vietnam so was kind of used to gruesome. Besides that, this guy was a big-time narcissist and didn't really have a normal degree of feeling towards others Somebody has to do these jobs though.

I see. Maybe that's a key makeup for this job. Being steady, calm and removed from emotion? Your right though, someone has to do it. I would think over time, people in this job can suffer from trauma or even clinical depression.

Guess someone has to do this job. They make a decent income for cleaning up the mess, but one needs a strong stomach and an ability to block out the memories of those crime scenes.

Not for me. There is a fictional movie on this subject called "Sunshine Cleaning".

I'm blind so could never do the job. Though, while not plesent, cleaners aren't responsible for moving remains. That's the job of the cornor or medical examiner's office.

Thank goodness for that! The mess they see would be enough to deal with. Plus, they say people in this job can suffer from trauma or even clinical depression.
And removing bodies would only add to that trauma..

I watched a video on this one time. Even people who live alone and die of natural causes can bloat and open up (it's not pretty).
This is a horrible job, but thank goodness these people are able to do it.
