The flowers of mayana plant looks beautiful

This is the first time it flowered. I didn't expect it. The purple color is nice. I read that you have to pinch off the flowers and the plant would grow taller and bushy. But I want the flower to stay. it is okay even if it takes longer to grow bigger if I didn't pinch it off

@LadyDuck oh i haven't had sage . Interesting to know that happens if you don't pinch off of its flowers

@hotsummer The sage also has beautiful purple flowers, if you do not cut them the sage leaves become ugly.

I'm surprised. Do you have mayana also. Maybe because it gets enough sun that is why it flowered

I didn't realize Coleus plants had flowers. We've got a red and green one that we've had for several years and it's never bloomed. I transplanted it into a bigger pot a couple of days ago.

Surprising it did not flower. I had this for few months . Yours might be too big already. Have you propagated them. This is the only coleus that survived as it keeps dying before even if it supposed to be an easy plant

@hotsummer The only thing I've ever done with it was water it when it got too dry. Hang on and I'll go take a picture of it...

@DaddyEvil That's exactly the same plant I have. But now maybe of too much sun. It loss the red color in the middle which I read happens

We had these in many colours. They do flower occasionally and yes you have to clip them for better growth

I would maybe after a few days. I still want to see the flowers every time i check my plants.
So they just flower occasionally. It is okay. I can patiently wait when it will decide to show off its flowers.
