I discovered that my husband was watching Christmas movies. So I joined him for the last part of one. Yes, I stayed up too late. But it was a good movie. No, I do not know the name of it, but it supposedly was based on true events. I will go to the website associated with it today. The website is the farmerandthebelle.net Possibly that is the name of the movie. It was totally family friendly and had a happy ending. My kind of movie.

@GardenGerty true. Longest Christmas season in the world. Pre-pandemic days, malls will be playing Christmas carols on the first day of September.

Sometimes we really need funny. This one had laughs in it, like when the heroine fell in the pig pen. And what the competition was like in the Santaland games.

Christmas movies? And here I thought it was bad when Dollarama replaced most of the garden stuff with Hallowe'en stuff in August.

At least with the movies you can turn them off if you like. Not so much the canned music at the stores.

I looked it up. The movie is "The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland." Apparently, it is based on the true-life romance of Jim and Jenn Chandler. I'm looking forward to when my husband's work load eases up and we can watch entire movies (or even just shows) on a more regular basis. We do generally manage a Friday night movie, but a lot of the series that we'd been watching have been put on hold for the time being.

I am not much of a television or movie watcher, and he usually has a western or a suspense story on. This was nice.
