My friend, Dustin's godfather, that is on hospice with cancer, has a birthday today!
I have been trying to figure out what to get him. He spends most of his time in bed at home now. His wife cooks homemade meals for him.
So I ordered him a massage heat pillow. He loves it!
And I mailed balloons to his son's home and asked that he place them over his bed. I also added little hand written notes on each one. A few little funny jokes. He has such a sense of humor. Always has liked playing jokes on others.
Of course, some sentimental notes as well. His wife called and we all face timed. He was smiling and laughing. The best day in a long time they all said. She sent me this photo while he was in the bathroom. I will always treasure it.
And I just got more photos of him in the bed, smiling at the balloons, on my phone. So much joy and happiness today. Living for the moments.
I am so happy to have done this for him. Remember about those little things in life. They truly are what life is all about.

Yes they are. It's good you can still do something.
