Just Bizarre!

Out of 15 spring blooming rhododendron shrubs of the same variety, we have one at the end of a full bloom. Just one! Why?
I hope it blooms again in April with the others.
Last summer, we had a different variety of spring rhododendron and forsythia bloom in late summer. Climate change or just a joke from Mother Nature? Not that I’m complaining.
Have you noticed blooms blooming when they shouldn’t be?

Oh, yes and it sure caught my eyes. I know it was a sign from Martin. I went out walking in September in Latvia after he had passed on in August. All of the signs all around were of autumn and trees becoming bare and then suddenly there was this flower as bright as the sun and I knew it was a sign because it made me smile, In autumn in Latvia you do not expect to find any more flower like this one and I was glad it was on the walk I had taken the first thought autumn.

@DianneN oh, I just had to take a photo since the flower was along the roadside and everywhere leaves were falling and many trees getting bare and nothing really to look at and then this flower. It was along the road we often walked together so he knew I would see it,

No, not really. But given how long it stays warm, it can take a while for stuff to turn.

@andreea_v Strawberries here bloom in April-May and then in late July-beginning August, but not after the half of September. Also my hot peppers plants are full of flowers now. Weird weather.

Yes!! The same thing happened to me! Last week I noticed 1 strawberry flower in my pot. They normally bloom in April -May and they did so this year too. And one of them bloomed recently again :)

I live in a place with all the seasons, but sometimes I do wish it was only summer :))))
I hope one day you get to travel and experience autumn or winter :)
Be sure to bring appropriate clothes!

@wolfgirl569 Yes, mine bloomed, too, but here we go again! Just a few and not nearly as much as they bloom in the spring.

There is one magnolia tree at my work that is still in full bloom, although none of the other magnolia trees anywhere around it are blooming. None of the magnolia trees at my house or blooming either. Just this one at work. It is bizarre.

@DianneN I always park next to that magnolia tree just because of the blooms, even though it is a little farther away from the entrance to my work.

@moffittjc That’s sweet! My son is finding them hard to get for his landscaping. They are such beautiful trees.

perhaps it is a late bloomer?
Or possible a very stubborn plant that refuses to believe in spring?
i can keep going...

@DocAndersen It’s planted in the ground. I think it bloomed to make the other rhododendrons jealous

@DianneN well then, perhaps it bloomed again to honor it's planter!

The roses on the east side of the house has been blooming. I've been picking several every few days.
Our climate is tropical. I'm not sure if roses like rain days or not.

With cross pollination, I guess anything can happen. With bees killed by spraying, they aren't doing the job God created them to complete. A gorgeous rhododendron shrub!

@kobesbuddy So does my younger son. Unfortunately, he’s allergic to them and carries an Epi pen.
