Bit of a disaster this afternoon

So, After I came back from the lake I managed to drop my cellphone in the driveway. I wasn't too worried about it as it wasn't a hard hit, and it has been dropped before, but I guess the difference was that it landed face down in some gravelly rocks. When I picked it up the screen basically was full of scratches and I was like oh boy..when I came in, I couldn't even put my security code in. It's toast. Fortunately, I talked to Consumer Cellular, and since I have my previous phone which is almost exactly the same size they authorized me just putting the SIM in it. I am going to go to Target tomorrow and let them do it, as they work with CC. Luckily, I have the Verizon Home Phone connect here so was able to call CC and get this set up. I was tentaively planning to go to Target tomorrow anyway, so it is not a trip I wouldn't make.

I guess dropping the phone gave you an excuse to go to Target. Sorry you did drop it but glad you had another phone anyway.

Yes, as long as the SIM card fits it should be all good. I guess worse case scenario I will have to buy one..

@snowy22315 I don't think you'll have much problem, but we'll see.
I put my sim card from my LG K10 into my Iphone SE 2020 and it worked beautifully.

Thanks, I am really surprised that it happened. There wasn't anything great about this phone, but it did have a better camera than the other one, and wasn't quite as likely to get hung up while doing something like mylotting for instance.

@snowy22315 It would be better at theft protection as well as losing the phone while being careless. Would you consider one, maybe in the far future.

I am glad you do not have to make a special trip to go to Target and hope they can help you out. That is too bad about your phone that fell but glad you have the other phone the same size so you can transfer the SIM card to it.
