It's pouring....

Good afternoon from this side of the planet.
It's 3:10 PM here.
We had a good break from ongoing rain in last two days. It felt good to have bright sun and pleasant weather for two days. And quite perfect for laundry and all outdoor activities.
Today seemed like another beautiful day in the row. It was bright and beautiful. And just all of a sudden, it was dark clouds around 3 and now it's pouring. It's strong winds outside and we hear thunderstorm too. It's raining cats and dogs in literal sense. The power is out but glad that our power backup is quick. From sunny afternoon to all of a sudden darkness that needs lights to be switched on...weather can be really unpredictable and can change it's mood multiple times in a day.
I am sitting on the couch in living room and typing this. The heavenly fragrance of fresh roses and jasmine in the bowl on the table next to me fill the room
. I got those fresh flowers in the morning from my terrace garden.That lifts the mood in this gloomy weather
Leaving you with the image of a beautiful rose bloom from my garden that I clicked this morning. I call it the " bloom of the day"

Enjoy your weather. The one that you see in the picture has gorgeous colour and looks great. But this one is also without any fragrance. The red roses, pink ones and yellow ones are fragrant. And the jasmine smells divine

@arunima25 Are those months the rainy season in your place? Here, it's understandable we experience rain often this time because it's rainy season though we still able to enjoy hot sunny days.

@ZedSmart It is the rainy season in other parts of the country. My city Bangalore gets rain throughout the year and more in the rainy season. It has a unique geographical position and is known for its pleasant cool weather throughout the year. We do not get extreme heat or cold like other parts of India.

I wanted to go for an evening walk today with my daughters. Btu now that plan will not work. Good that I went for a short walk in the morning when it was pleasant. My daughters could not join as they had an early school day.
I hope you were able to go for another walk and rain did not ruin your plan.

@arunima25 It's a shame when the flowers are so beautiful but they have no smell...
It's pouring here right now... I used to have a small generator made to run one large item but we never used it so I sold it.

Glad that you liked the flower. It's a lovely colour but no fragrance.
Power back up is a life savior here. We get power cuts quite often. Rain with strong winds is very frequent here.

@arunima25 yes, especially when electricity goes off.. today after i returned from institute around 2:30 there was no electricity and also my room don't have inverter connection plus some hostel students had some doubts that i had to clear during the rest time then i again had to go to institute for doubt session from 3:30 pm.. now just returning to the hostel and will continue with my self study

@arunima25 - It really did! And she always planted according to a season or a holiday. I remember we always had lilies during Easter and poinsettias for Christmas. Really sweet memories.

Such a lovely rose my favorite flower. At least your earth there is cool and down the road rain water spreading. When I was a child I love to dance in the rain. How nice to borrow our yesterday to feel the innocence and contentment of a child's life.

The weather stays pleasant here. We never get extreme temperatures. The rain was a long one. It just stopped after lunchtime. The sun is bright in the sky.

Is it rainy season now at your place? We're heading into our rainy season. August 22, beginning of autumn. Forecast for rain tomorrow then sunny Wednesday & Thursday. Do good you got electricity backup! Hope we get weather needed.

My home is pleasant too. Our autumn & winter rainy season & cooler. Summer, June- middle of September, warm, muggy and June - July, we can get temperature in 90°F or 32.2 C.

Yes, it's rainy season in other parts of country. Our city gets rain throughout the year because of its geography. The weather is pleasant throughout the year.
