I want to get rid of the table I'm working and eating at. I also don't want to work in the dining room. So, where else would I work in this one-bedroom apartment?
I took some measurements of the table and the bedroom closet. Yes, the closet is huge. You can see the picture above just how wide it is. I only need half that space. I also noted where the cable and power outlet are in the bedroom. I can easily put a desk in there and work out of my bedroom without taking any walking space away from the room. I can even move the filing cabinet into the bedroom and not compromise space.
I then went online and looked at desks. I have one in my cart on Amazon. Before I buy it next month, I'm going to look at the thrift stores to see if there might be a suitable desk.
I've also been looking at dining sets online. I found one I really like. So, if all goes well, I will have a new desk, located in my bedroom closet, and a new dining room table. As for this one, it's seen better days. It's older than I am.
That's the plan. Do you have any plans for the near future? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

We've been looking around for a deep freeze. The freezer on our fridge just isn't big enough. I'd rather not get a full size chest type freezer but it looks like that's what we'll end up getting...
I hope you like the new desk and dining room table you find. Change is... usually... not bad.

@just4him We left the dining room table we'd used for 25 years at the house we left three years ago. We told the new owner he could have it or he could throw it away. He's using it.

Yes, it's great when things come together.
I'm glad you have a nice day to hang the laundry outside. What's for dinner? I just put chili together in the crockpot.
Have a blessed day. Do you do a lot for your Sunday school lesson?

@just4him Chili sounds good. I told Mike the other day I will soon make us some. I made pork chops, stuffing and squash. We enjoyed it.
I pray about where and what God would have me teach on. We use to use a booklet which came out every 3-4 months but in time the lessons repeated themselves. Last time I taught I taught about how we need to love one another and stop judging one another as Christians. Tomorrow's lesson will be on pride.

I can see where you could easily convert half your closet into a working area. Sounds like a good idea.
Hope you can find a new dining set
My plans are painting. The whole downstairs needs a fresh coat of paint and I might be able to convince my son to tackle the job for me.

I told my son my plans this morning when he picked me up to hopefully take care of the car. Not happening today. Monday. He agreed it would be a good idea. You can see the two outlets in the picture. The one closest to the closet is the cable outlet.

That sounds like a great use of the space - it would be so easy for that big closet to become the sort of place where you just shove junk inside and shut the door. Yours is a much better solution. And you get to treat yourself to something 'new', whether it's actually brand new or not doesn't matter.

Do you have room in your bedroom for a desk rather than inside the closet? To me, it seems difficult to move a desk chair every time you need to slide the closet door open. And where are your clothes?
First on our list is to meet Monday morning with the tree removal guy. Next on the agenda is redoing our old family room. And last, but not least, renovating our master bedroom, bath, and closets.
