Breaking out of our rut

We took a drive to a nearby State Park and lake.
Hubby discovered something he likes. An archery range.
You need a park permit, and they are not badly priced, but you can also get a yearly one when you renew your car tags. I bet that would be very economical.
I actually saw some wild flowers I do not recognize.
There are walking trails.
It sounds like cheap, healthy entertainment.

Now I get to figure out what the tiny blue ones were.

@RebeccasFarm Taller plant than blue bells, and smaller flowers. Looked like it could be some kind of salvia perhaps.

Did you take pictures of the wildflowers?

No, not this time. I wish I had. The blue had tiny flowers and then there was all the goldenrod in bloom and thistles that had gone to seed.

That sounds like fun.
When/if things get better under control, I would like to get back to going out to museums. However, I think that I'm going to hold off on that for just a bit longer given the current state of things.

it was a nice change of scenery ! I habitually take notice of the indigenous plants there when I go to a new place.

I usually take pictures so I can research when I go home. I did not do it this time.

This particular trail talked about the various hard woods and also said there are native paw-paws.

I hope he feels up to it. I have not done any archery for over 50 years, but Bob still has his bow from when he was a kid.

@GardenGerty It would be a nice (and new) interest for him if he can manage it.

I hope he gets more interested in getting out. He perked up when I suggested it today.
