Some fresh air....

Good morning from this side of the planet It's 10:05 AM as I write this post. I just got my break between sessions some 5 minutes back. So got up, stretched myself and here I am up on my terrace to get some fresh air. It's a pleasant weather with cool breeze. The sun and clouds are playing hide and seek. So, I might also get some dose of Vitamin D as I sit here for another 40 minutes and mylot. My next session will begin at 10:45 and will go till 12:15. That would be all for work at school today. If this pleasant weather continues and we don't get rain, I will work again in garden after lunch and finish some more weeding. Yesterday I could only finish 30 pots. I took the weeds out, loosen the soil and added the vermicompost. As it is raining daily here, it's saving us from one chore of water these more than 100 pots.. I was too tired after those 30 pots and so could not harvest the chillies to put seeds in seed tray. I plan to do that today.Let's see how much I accomplish and whether the rain comes to ruin all my plans. I would be here enjoying the fresh air and mylotting. Everyone in the house are busy and it's quiet. I can hear birds chirping and the traffic sound at a distance from my house. The city is back to its hustle and bustle. Seems like life is getting back to track after the Covid scare. Leaving you with this beautiful collage of the beauties from my garden. I clicked them yesterday afternoon. Have a good time in your mylot corner. I move to my notifications now

The flowers are beautiful! We carried in the pots on our front porch that we decided to keep over until next year. The other plants will stay on the front porch until the cold finishes them off this winter and the empty pots can be moved into the garage until we need them again next Spring.

That's a lot of work. It goes in a cycle. We have almost the same weather throughout the year in our city. So, that's good in a way. No extra work like that. Today some of the rose plants have so many blooms. Some need support. I should give them some support tomorrow.

Do you put any kind of manure at specific intervals? How do the saplings get necessary minerals?

I put compost once in a month and some tonic drink( you get them from compost pit) alternate weeks. Sometimes give them jaggery mixed with curd. That's like once in three to four months. Plants do need a lot of care to stay healthy and flourish well

@arunima25 Got it. Thanks for sharing. I have few saplings in terrace. I feel they lack natural mineral source.

@Lignitecityabishek96 If you want gardening stuff, trustbasket is a good online store. You can buy composts from them if you don't want to make your own.

@allknowing Yes, I am calling him on Sunday to move some heavy pots, climb up the stairs to tie strings and give support to some of the gourds, cucumbers and other plants.

Gardening is therapeutic. I do it on a regular basis. But I do call a gardener to help me out from time to time.

All the flowers are so beautiful. I can imagine how beautiful your garden is. We don't have a garden. We just have an aloe vera and basil plant on our terrace.

The flowers are beautiful and I am glad that your are enjoying your break. The covid panic is still not over as the third wave is still going on and children are dying in many states.

I am happy that you liked the flowers. They just cheer you up.The danger of third wave is not over and we are still getting scary stories of its effects and adverse long term effects. Children would be more vulnerable ones in the third wave. That's what all experts have warned about. But then life is back to normal slowly, traffic is picking up.

Glad that you liked them I agree. I have not watered them in more than a month. Watering around 150 pots is a chore in itself
