Halibut fillets for dinner

Yesterday, I remembered that I still have fish fillets in the freezer. I have two halibut fillets and two of another fish. Don't remember what it is though. I took the halibut fillets out of the freezer yesterday. Rinsed them earlier today to get rid of any ice. They should be defrosted already. I am gonna pat them dry with a paper towel, season both sides, and fry in the skillet. For the side, I am thinking of making bulgur with sauteed onions. But maybe I will fry up some polenta instead. We have a polenta log we bought at Trader Joe's. All you have to do is slice it and fry it five minutes per side. For dessert, we have ice cream and blueberry crumb cake. Yum!

Halibut is one of my favorite fish, bulgur is also very good, I would like more bulgur than polenta with friend halibut.

Me too. I ended up doing bulgur. Talked to my mom today and turns out what I made was not halibut but sea bass. Couldn't tell the fish apart as there was no label.

@lovebuglena Sea bass is also very good. I can recognize a fish when it is whole and with the head on.

@LadyDuck That's cool. I can't do that. But it's even harder when it's a fillet.

I don't even know how much it costs. My mom gets it for me sometimes when she goes to the fish store. Either fillets or a whole fish, just without the head.

Turns out I made a mistake. What I made was sea bass. Halibut fillets still in the freezer. The fish was really good though.

I really did, except turns out I enjoyed sea bass not halibut. I defrosted the wrong fish, though I thought I was defrosting the halibut.

Your dinner sounds good, I discovered a small frozen flounder fillet in my freezer and boy did my kittens have a good dinner, I don't even remember how long it was there but of course, they enjoyed it,

I had four fillets in the freezer. Two were in their own packages. The other two were just in a plastic bag. None had labels of course. I thought the halibut fillets were in their own packages, so made that. Turns out that it was sea bass. Halibut still in the freezer lol according to what my mom told me when I asked her what the other fillets were. I will have it later in the week probably.

We ended up doing bulgur. Felt that would go better with the fish.
