10 pack microwavable rice, 12.49 sale. I got it today. Once I bumped into my cousin, he was buying the same thing, on sale. Love hot rice, so I'm totally sold in microwavable rice!

I gave away my microwave, but I prepare my rice in a small inexpensive rice cooker and 2 KG of raw rice (cooked it weight the double) would cost me no more than $6.

@oahuwriter You can keep cooked rice up to 7 days in a container in the refrigerator, without the need of preservative. We are only two, not a family and 2 KG of rice lasts for at last 4 months.

That's good! It's nice when you've got family to cook for. One person, different. Nice fresh hot rice single serve is great!

We cook rice for the whole family in a big rice cooker. That is enough for one meal. I like sticky rice.

I find it very easy to make rice in a pot, although it takes longer than using a microwave - which I never used for rice.

And you've a family, so you need rice cooker & bag of rice. I'm cooking for 1, so for me easier single serve microwave rice to warm for hot rice.

I know sticky rice is what they use for sushi but what else can it be used for? I rarely eat rice unless I'm having sushi.

Me too, no microwave. We can boil it. 10 min. boiling. I have a perfect size preserve empty jar filled with water for weight, to maximize all over warming.
