Haven’t Had a Typical Friday Date Night in Such a Long Time

Happy Fridianne Day! I miss my Friday date nights with hubs. It’s usually our alone time together. Last week we were babysitting our grandkids and two granddoggies. The photo is of our Ice Princess just before dinner out at a seafood restaurant. Tonight we are going out to dinner with our friends. We changed our plans from Saturday due to the chance of rain. We only eat outdoors, have waitstaff who wear masks, and the restaurant we are going to has outdoor heaters. It’s beginning to get chilly in the evenings here. At least we can count on martinis, great food, and lots of laughs. I see a lot of food delivery in the cold future

It's raining here today, tonight will definitely be a Friday evening date(here), watching a movie

The ice Princess looks just as beautiful, with braces:) Aubrey's will be going on this month, she's actually looking forward to it.

Yup! We have had pizza twice this week--once because neither of us wanted to cook and the other time because the local school had a fundraiser at a local restaurant --15% of the tab for each meal ent to the school--but yesterday the temp dropped--so I am looking for my fingerless gloves--margarita is in the freezer for later tonight--I seem to be rambling--

How lovely that you are still enjoying date nights. I love this tradition but have never enjoyed it myself. My hubs and I go out together of course, at least we did before Covid, but we never called it a date night. It sounds much more romantic that a simple night out.

@DianneN Indoor dining is still a bit risky I think, but here just about all restrictions have been lifted. I’ll not be taking the risk for a good while yet. I’m sure the martinis will help!

Okay! Garlic bread. Fried calamari and martini, then stuffed shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh sautéed vegetables and something shredded as tasteless. lol

@DianneN The days are sunny and beautiful, the nights are cold now. I only heat the bathroom before showering and in the evening, I almost never heat the bedroom.

We all miss the good old days...I wish I could go dancing in a club. It's thrue that my personal situatuon would not let me go out or dancing as often as I would want but stil the times are rough for everyone.
