Have you ever had vertigo?

I woke up this morning (always a good thing!) and when I sat up, the room was spinning so fast I thought I might fall. Since I tend to fall often, I sat there, then moved very slowly. I made it to the couch and my husband brought me some motion sickness medicine. He actually cooked breakfast, lol, but I only ate half a slice of plain toast. Not only is everything flying round and round, but I'm so nauseous. The medicine made me sleepy, but I learned I dare not lie down. It's been 5 hours and I took a second pill earlier. I think maybe it's just a little better, but I'm being extremely careful if I have to get up. This vertigo was from one small pill I took last night. It was an Omega 3 with CoQ10 and was only half a dose. It's supposed to help high triglycerides. I hope to get a refund from Amazon, but I'll have to just keep working on my triglycerides with diet and exercise. Have you ever had vertigo? And helpful hints other than "don't take those pills again"?

Vertigo is terrible, I can sympathize with you. I had it after my concussion, it came and went, which was difficult. One minute I would be alright, and then a little while later I would experience it.

@1creekgirl A few years ago, I worked for another employer and fell in some water at work. I was off from work for several months, and in the end I was too nervous to go back and work there so I quit and found another employer.

Yes, I’ve had vertigo, and I HATE it. My absolute least favorite feeling. I won’t even watch the movie Vertigo because of it. I hope you’re feeling better quickly. I wouldn’t wish vertigo on my worst enemy.

It really is miserable. I fall too much when I'm normal. Well, relatively speaking.

I do not suffer of vertigo, but my husband has a serious problem with vertigo. He cannot almost get up since Monday. I talked with his doctor, he sent me home the pharmacist with pills to take, we will see.

@1creekgirl Thank you Vicki, I hope you will also feel better soon. Today he arrives to walk, touching the walls to avoid to lose his balance.

@LadyDuck I'm surprised how much better I feel this morning considering how bad it was yesterday. Sure hope your husband gets over this vertigo soon.

Yes, I've had something like that happen once. I was waking up from my afternoon nap in the break room at work and the room was spinning so fast I had to grab the table to keep from falling out of the chair. Someone grabbed one of management for me and they told me to keep my head down until the spinning stopped. I had to keep hold of the table. Every time I turned it loose I started to slide out of the chair again. After two hours I finally tried to stand up and fell on the floor. Management took me home. I went to bed and was lucky I was off for two days. I was still having problems the next day but was okay the third day. It wasn't fun. I hope you're doing better now.

@1creekgirl I understand... Sometimes, if I turn too quickly, I get dizzy. I try not to do that. I'm glad you're feeling better today.

I know that was scary. To have been as bad as it was yesterday, I'm surprised, but pleased that it's almost gone this morning. Still being careful walking or turning.

Many times. I have inner ear issues. I never know when it will visit. Moving slow is a good thing. Feel better and take it easy.

I don't understand why a person would want to take pills from amazon that weren't perscribed by a doctor. That being said, I've had it before and I'm not a fan. Doesn't happen often though.

@1creekgirl No, but you still should be careful what you take over-the-counter. But, obviously you've figured that out.

These vitamin supplements are the same thing you can buy from Walmart. A doctor isn't going to give you a prescription for vitamins.

@1creekgirl I think I might have had it twice, but that’s a self-diagnosis. Anyway whatever it was I’ve no intention of ever having it again. Awful feeling.

I don't take any remedies, that aren't from my doctor. She instructs me, not Amazon.

Get in touch with your doctor. I had vertigo caused by an infection in my eustachean (sp?) tube.

Never suffered vertigo. The only thing close was when I started to faint from rising to quickly after giving blood. I imagine it must of been a scary feeling. Hope your doing better.

I have it, not vertigo per se, but general giddiness. Maybe because of the cervical issues that I have.
