I am so curious how do yams taste at your place. I do agree that it will be tastier with butter on it.

@RebeccasFarm Uhm, it is my first time to see this kind of procedure for the lesser yam. Thanks for sharing it.

@Shavkat It is so tasty Shavvie. Before putting in the oven to bake, we add butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and let them bake. Then at the last time of baking, we add marshmallows on top of it and brown them. So the top is browned and sweet. I hope you try it. It is delicious, but of course you can minimize the sugar if you do not want so much.

Once in blue moon to see them in the public market. My mom is whining about it. It seems they are old ones that cannot be sold in the market. But still, we like eating them today.

@LadyDuck It is a bit bland taste and you can sprinkle with a bit of sugar.

I assumed that they taste the same. For us, we just boiled them and sprinkled some salt only, not baked.

I do like baked sweet potatoes. I haven't tried in yams.

I hope you can have some. It is easy to cook. You will just boil them like sweet potatoes.
