I found out where my blood donation went

So, interestingly in my email, I got a little blurb from the Red Cross stating that my blood donation went to a hospital forgot the specific name in Morgantown WV. Now, that is pretty interesting. Morgantown is a place I know pretty well, my sister went to grad school at WVU, and we used to visit there pretty often. Also, we pass through there when going up to see my parents in PA. We like I 68 which passes through there, as there are no tolls, it is not too heavily traveled and is a good road. Now, I asked them that when I was there..I wonder if someone took a note of that, or if they are just sending the info to everyone now..?

@snowy22315 That is nice that you found out where your blood donation went to and that you are familiar with the place too.

I thought so. I am familiar with the town not necessarily where it went.

I do not believe that they tell people where the blood goes here.

@LadyDuck Yeah, but it's not close to here. That city is over 4 hours away.

@snowy22315 May be it's not a bad idea, you know where to go in case you need a transfusion.

I had to have a blood transfusion after the birth of our second son. One of our friends donated blood that day and I always wondered if it was his blood that I got.

Could be.. When I was a kid and had an operation one of my uncle's donated blood and I think I got some of that He said..that was a real sacrifice on his part because he realty hated needles.

Good to know where it is going. I used to give blood but haven't for a number of years. Maybe I'll look at doing it again.

That is so cool! I think that should be a thing, it gives more of an idea as to why it is so important to donate

It would have been better if they told the name of the hospital.

There are only a few medicines people take that don't allow them to donate blood. I would think you could as long as you pass the initial health screening.

They never allowed me to donate blood as i was consider under weight and when I am not, then my anemia or my low blood pressure also forbidden me. So, try many times, but never succeed
