How Frustrating!

I am watching this movie called "The Stickman" about a young girl in a mental institution. She was thought to have killed her family but she is plagued by nightmares and a stickman. The doctors don't believe her about the demons or whatever the thing is. They think the demon and nightmares are brought on by her guilt. I can relate so well to her frustration at not being believed. I went through the same thing with my ex. He was forever making false statements about things I had supposedly done. I tried to make him understand these things weren't true. Sometimes we argued for hours and he would never believe me. I would finally go to bed only to be awakened a while later with him jumping up and down on my bed, red in the face and saliva dripping out of his mouth. Oh, I finally left for good but for nearly ten years I tried to make him believe in me. Might as well have had the nightmares about a stickman.
What is frustrating for you?

I can't believe, looking back, that I put up with him for as long as I did. Your mother's loss I am thinking.

@celticeagle You try not to be frustrated, but when she needed something she always called me, but always and only praised my brother. Even the daughter of my brother noticed how much partial she was.

I'm sorry to hear about what you went through with your ex. My husband's procrastination is very frustrating for me.

Thank you. My ex was a real piece of work. Still is but I don't have to put up with him anymore. That would be. That is how my grandson is. Waits until the very last moment he can to get dressed or ready. Ugh!

I'm sorry about your ex. I don't know how you stood it for that long. I no longer have to deal with math classes and my total lack of ability so I am tons happier now. Same with trying to do agility work outs with Sally. Wow Rufus would be good in that. Me? I can't tell my left from my right when I have to move fast with the dog on an agility field. Enough emotional trauma. I can't do it. Got a dog who can but not me.

I don't know how I did either. I guess because when it was good it was very good and I believed him when he told me he would quit drinking. We were fine while he wasn'[t but that only lasted for about three months or so and then he would be back at it. Keeping trying. Never give up.

I think you made a right decision of divorce,if a man didn't believe and understand you,it isn't worth staying with him.even he didn't undertand tolerance to wife.as a husband, must tolerate wife, can't quarrel with wife always and must win the quarrel.if a man wanna win quarrel from wife,i would say how stupid it is,wife is family, never try to win against wife.there is no competition among family.I don't understand when your ex jumping up on your bed,why red in the face and saliva dripping out of his mouth? What does it mean?

I so agree. I put up with it for so long and kept going back to him and believing in him but never did me. And the arguments were usually silly stuff that he should have realized the truth about after living with me for as long as he did.
