headache and sore arm

I got my pfizer covid booster yesterday. As long as I was at work it did not seem to bother me, but when I stopped working and moving around my arm began to hurt. Now the headache this morning. Not expected. Perhaps it is because I am taking twice as much medicine as before. Or perhaps it is from the booster shot. I do not like it. Whine, whine. Today is Saturday and I am going to spend a lot of it just doing what I want to.

Yeah, when I got my covid shot, my arm didn't start hurting until bedtime. But when I got the shingles vaccine Wednesday, it hurt immediately, and still does. So we suffer together.

Usually I do not have trouble with vaccines, but even if I do, I would rather be immunized.

@JamesHxstatic My worst ever was my second pneumonia. Next to that was Tdap.

It soon passes. Good that you had that booster.

Yes, it will pass. Often I have a headache when I get up. I am taking acetaminophen today.

@GardenGerty That is good and I hope you feel better now.

Maybe the booster is reacting to other meds you take, is that possible?

I think the increased metformin is giving me a headache and I should have taken some acetaminophen last night. I do not think anyone knows if the covid vaccines interact with anything else.

That's scary, they should have a good idea what these vaccines interact with.

@rebelann With the number of medications on the market it would be hard to know every interaction. They ask some obvious questions on the consent form.

Congratulations on the booster. I am not sure if it is still the effect of it.

@Shavkat I had just had a check up, that is why my medicines are all increased and they may make my head hurt at first. Today is Sunday and I slept much better last night.

@GardenGerty Are you still feeling the same way today? If yes, why not have a checkup with a doctor there?

I would be even less happy to have covid. My doctor emphasized that if I do not get rid of all these cold and sinus symptoms I should come back.

@LadyDuck I am having minor symptoms compared to a week ago or so. I got the shot.

@GardenGerty If it is a minor cold we can get the vaccine, but if we have a cold, cough and sinus problems we have to re-book the appointment. They do not give the shot if you are too unwell.

Hopefully, you feel better shortly. I think that I managed to play the "poor me" card for about three or four days after my second shot-- get my husband to bring me food and such.

Hubs always brings me coffee, but we only eat at the table. He is cooking quite a bit, but that is because he wants certain foods.

@wilsongoddard Mine just makes messes and then I have to clean them. He does burn sauces in pots, e-v-e-r-y time. I have to use muscles and magic to clean them up.

@GardenGerty My husband brought in food from a restaurant and, I think, managed one frozen pizza during that period. He's not really allowed in the kitchen unsupervised due to his tendency toward nearly burning it down.

I do not know if it was the shot itself or the person who gave it that caused the soreness.. I often notice differences between the administrators of vaccines. To me it did not seem that he put it into the fattest part of my arm.The headache could be just about anything.

I only got first dose of Moderna 3-days ago. Took paracetamol on the second day 3x because of mild fever. Just mild effects of vaccine. It's nothing compared to typhoid vaccine effect.

@GardenGerty my former co-worker who is now a senior citizen got Pfizer vaccine and felt sleepy and hungry. My cousin at 40's got Pfizer too, I'm at 40's too but got Moderna, my cousin's son who is at 20's got Sinovac, my lawyer who is a senior citizen got Astra Zeneca but we all felt same effects. My aunt and cousin who are senior citizens got Janssen single dose without side effects to both of them.

@GardenGerty I believe most had a sore arm after they got the vaccine. The headache could be becuse of that too.

I am sure it is the booster shot. Make sure to keep moving the arm around so it doesn't get stiff. Hope your symptoms pass quickly!!

My side effects from the second shot (I haven’t had the booster yet) only lasted six hours, but those were six very miserable hours.

I took acetaminophen in the morning before the shot, and then other than feeling sleepy I was fine until I went to bed ant tried to sleep on that side.
