On our way to our next stop after leaving Boat Harbour after the horse endurance ride, we stopped for lunch at Nornalup on the Frankland River and lashed out on marron for lunch.
Marron is a freshwater crayfish which is farmed commercially in the area. The marron weren’t particularly big but we had prawns, mashed potato and a vegetable conglomeration with it.
Taken with a glass of chilled white wine, it was very acceptable.

Looks good. I've never been a fan of shrimp or crayfish. I'm more of a lobster, clam, scallop and crab fan.

When I still wasn't fully vegetarian, this is something that I would have ordered.

the food looks delicious. Does this fish survive in sea water?

That's the first I've heard of marron. It looks like a cross between lobster and the crawfish we have here.
