So many chain-saws but the tree is still standing

On a bus trip with our village people, we drove into Whitegum Farm for lunch. They had a few quirky things around that I’ve already shared.
This photo, taken through the car window which half explains the bad quality, is of old chain-saws stuck into a trunk of a tree on the side of the road. Another tree had old power tools hanging from it.
I love seeing these quirky bits and pieces but often you are past them before you realise what you’re seeing and it’s not always easy to back up with a caravan attached.

I love that so much. In the town where my mom is from there was this rock and she and my great grandma had painted to look like a shark. It had been so many years, and people still upkeep the shark, and even included a pair of pants for the mouth to be biting. It is those quirky things that you see that wonder the story behind them, a little legacy.

It is very odd to see many chain saws on a tree.

@JudyEv If I were a tourist in that area I would take a picture too.

@RubyHawk I guess they know from your IP address. Not sure what that is but your computer is connected to the system and I think that has an address which possibly links it to your town Perhaps you should ask JJ. He is bound to know.

It's time they renamed the town or village - 'Quirky'

All the quirky things give tourists something to see and take photos of I guess. When we were on the continent we loved the decorated roundabouts. We don't have that here but we thought they were great. I took lots of photos of them. Similar thing in a way.

A lot of the time here you see... different... types of things as you zoom past them and only realize what you saw after it was too late to take a photo. (If there's no place to pull over, I'm out of luck. Pretty refuses to take pictures for me and gripes if I try to go slowly so I can take the photos.

@JudyEv When water was fountaining up through the pavement early this summer, there wasn't room to pull over so I stopped in the middle of the street, took the pictures and then backed to the last intersection and found a different way to go.

We have passed this a few times but, as you say, it's sometimes really difficult to pull over. There is a little shed down near Greenbushes which looks like a tree has grown up through the middle of it but there is nowhere to stop to take a photo.
