Stuck up a tree

This is another of the quirky attractions at Whitegum Farm in Western Australia.
This poor cyclist seems to have had a nasty accident and has impaled his bike on a tree. Some people have really creative imaginations.
I guess they bought a mannequin from somewhere and perched it up in the tree. It would have been a bit tricky to safely get it so far up.
Did I tell you I had a doctor’s appointment which I knew was for Friday? Well, when we got there, it was still only Thursday, not Friday, so we have to go again today. The joys of getting old and muddled. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I guess I’d better laugh.

@DocAndersen When we were in France, we met an elderly couple on a tandem bike and they had travelled a great many miles in that way. But the lady said she couldn't ride on her own! I found that quite surprising.

Mixing up the days for an appointment can happen to anyone. Pretty and I did that a few days ago. Luckily, just before we left the house, I got a text message from my doctor's office confirming the appointment for the next day.

@JudyEv Please don't think like that. Nobody else thinks a "slip" makes you stupid or silly... It happens.
I delete their texts after we've been to the appointments now or I'd screenshot it and post it for you. (The doctor's office wants us to respond to their texts by texting them a "C" to confirm we're still coming or a "D" to deny that we'll be there.)

@DaddyEvil We seem to get reminder texts now whenever we make an appointment. I thought maybe they were just sick of people missing appointments.

That has happened here before. My husband tends to keep track of our appointments; that generally works well having one person handling that, so there aren't scheduling conflicts. The problem comes in that he doesn't accept appointment cards when they're offered. That means there is often no record of certain appointments other than what he has entered into his calendar--sometimes wrongly.

@JudyEv He's usually good about it, but his errors tend to be doozies.

@JudyEv I can do some silly things. This past Monday, my daughter and granddaughter had been teasing me about losing my mind. Later, we went to the lighthouse area of the coast to walk and then down some steps. I went part down then turned and told who I thought was my granddaughter, "if I go all the way down, you will need to pull me back up." A lady said, "OK, but you will have to pull me up too." Everyone had such a laugh and of course my daughter smuggly said "see?"

That would have been an interesting thing to get in the tree.
Sorry about your appointment. Mine got canceled today.

That's so funny, I wonder where this idea came from!
I went to work one morning (7:00A). I wasn't on the schedule, it was my day off! lol At that time, I was thirty years old:)

I've never seen any trees doctored up like that. I have a calendar that I keep all appointments on. I constantly remind my husband of what day it is and when his appointments are. I'm the official timekeeper.

I have been muddled all my life, I can't blame it on age. Quite a bike wreck there huh?

I felt better reading that others had done the same types of things.

@judyev Definitely one to giggle about. The receptionist probably had a good giggle too. I arrived at an airport one day, bound for Moscow, and when I presented my huge old-fashioned ticket (remember them?) the girl at the desk looked at it and said “This flight leaves tomorrow sir”. I swear she smirked. Bloke up the tree must feel like a bit of a banana too.
