I am needing to make a list and gather some phone numbers this morning so I can be my husband's medical secretary.
I have to do this because he will forget, and/or he cannot hear. I think he needs new filters for his hearing aids and he did not get them with the aids. I need to call the VA audiology department.
Tomorrow is a potluck at school. I should get my stuff ready to take over there tonight. I do not know what I was thinking. I planned to take a hot dish that requires an electric skillet.
Oh well.
Time to get going to make up for being gone all weekend.

It does take some effort on his part to hear. He now has new filters but no clue how to put them in.

I just made the barbecue little smokeys. You use barbecue sauce, grape jelly and I stir in some dark brown mustard. I took an electric skillet to keep them warm.

Bob was really pleased with these. He even remarked about the sound of turning pages in a book.

@GardenGerty Yes, my dad marveled at hearing a tissue being pulled out of a box. I take my hearing for granted.

My brother says the same thing. The parts we deal with have been great, though.

Yeah, Carol says that Hank is very happy with the VA while Linda gets really angry at them, I guess it depends on what condition your in.

It's good that you do that for him.
With my husband, he sometimes "forgets" things that he doesn't want to remember to do.

They sent him new filters, alas, he is afraid to try to replace them as they are tiny. He does not remember being shown.

We got the filters right away, now he will not try to replace them, so we will either learn how on YouTube and have me do it, ask an acquaintance, or make a trip Monday to have them show him again.

@GardenGerty Yes it has to be. That's why your husband married you and made you his life partner, both in times of joy and in times of sorrow. So do what's best for your husband
