My daughter Tania had surgery yesterday for a ruptured apendix. She had a lot of pus as it seems this all had been going for a longer time than what she thought.
But now she is well and she will be at the hospital until Thursday. Oscar, her ex, who is a doctor, told me not to go to see her at the hospital because of the covid. So I´ll wait to see her when she is home.
Thank you for the answers I have had to my post yesterday. You are all so sweet
I´ll keep you posted about the developments of it all. I suppose that she is having all sorts of antibiotics now.

@LadyDuck So am I. Here, apendicitis means urgent surgery even in the worst time of the covid.

I am glad that the surgery went well. I can't believe that she managed to make it through the barbecue with severe appendicitis.
I'm always a bit on guard about my appendix, because my cats love to collide with my right side. I worry that one of these days, one of them is going to do me serious injury there.

Tania thought it was something else. At the end, she told me that her tummy hurt a lot and I tried to think at what she had eaten at the barbecue.

I'm glad to know she's doing better now and will be out so quickly. I was sure they had gotten better at treating such things but didn't think she'd be home that fast.
I didn't want to tell you how worried I was for her. When I had my appendectomy, the doctors told mom and dad that I had a 15% chance to live...

It seems that now they have stronger antobiotics. Yet I am still worried.

This is terrible to hear! Thank God, Tania is healing up from this dangerous condition! It would probably be a risk, if you visited her at the hospital
She's in very good hands and the Lord is taking care of her needs

I just read a post from her. She might be discharged from the hospital this evening. With the covid, patients are not kept too long in hospitals
