Not much warmer now

The temperature has only gone up 2 degrees so it is still really cold. I wanted to go out for a walk on my lunch break but I guess I will have to do some mall walking after work. It is not a day to be walking outside. Since I had my heart surgery I find my chest really hurts when it is cold. They said that is normal though. It is a small price to pay for a second chance at life.
The work day is going pretty good. I am now half way through the work week. The weekend is just around the corner and a bit. Well I suppose I should get back to work and get this day over with.
I must admit I am kinda jealous of all the people preparing all the delicious dishes for their US Thanskgiving tomorrow. Everything sounds so delicious.

Please by all means wrap up warm and go very slowly in cold for your health. Very glad you are ok , didn't know you had surgery. Best to take our time especially in winter. Have a good holiday thinking of turkey. You could still get one even thought Christmas is next month

Thanks. I had a heart attack and open heart surgery 4 years ago. I think I will hold off on the turkey until Christmas. There will be plenty of it then.

I'm jealous too since daughter didn't get paid early like we had planned and now we will eat whatever we can scrounge 
from the kitchen. I thought you all have a Thanksgiving day too? either before or after ours. I can't remember.

My day is going well.
The wind here is cold, but the sun is shining so it isn't too bad outside.
I did a few hours of Christmas shopping this morning.
I didn't realize that they would have their Black Friday sales starting today, and apparently neither did anyone else as the stores were quiet and they had lots of stock in.

@Happy2BeMe I walked into the Under Armour shop and saw the line ups and turned right around and went out. Its not safe to have such numbers during these times and I wasn't risking my health to get in on a sale.

Well its good shopping when its quiet especially with covid. Tomorrow it will be a mad house out there. I was going to take the day off tomorrow and go shopping but then I thought no. I don't want to be in crowds like that. I will get my Black Friday specials online.

It was freezing here too. Yes be careful with that heart in the cold. Stay as warm as possibel when you can.

It is true, when it's cold outside it hurts the chest..it's a cold windy day here, but nothing a hoodie can't handle lol.

I have a hoodie on and my winter jacket and I am still cold. I don't know how I am going to survive the winter. You think after living her all my life I would be use to it but it seems get worse every year.

I had a fun allergic reaction so have slept through last night and most of today. If I can't see, there's no reason to try to do anything else... The phone I have now doesn't have the app that reads to me when I can't see... *shrug* I haven't needed the app since I started the new meds in October 2020. This time, Pretty set up my laptop to read to me and I slept through part of the book I was listening to. It doesn't matter, since it was one I'd read before.
Why don't you come visit tomorrow. Just take the day off work. I'm making homemade rolls first thing in the morning and the smoked turkey will be ready about noon. mashed potatoes and baked broccoli in chicken broth will round out our lunch.
