My Thanksgiving Day

I was invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with Leo’s daughter and her family but would you believe I was sick all last night sneezing and with a runny nose. I felt so bad I called early this morning, cancelled and went back to bed.
I got the Vick’s salve out of the medicine cabinet and massaged my nose with it during the day and it’s helped a lot. In the meantime my second daughter in law called me to say she was sick and couldn’t make it to her mother’s dinner. What is it that we are all sick at Thanksgiving? My other son and his wife have been sick a couple of weeks now.
Anyway Leo’s daughter called to say they were bringing my dinner and would leave it at the door so as not to disturb me, I really don’t feel like eating but I appreciated them being so caring. So my dinner is in the refrigerator waiting.

@snowy22315 That’s too bad.I will be with my sons and their families for Christmas dinner if nothing changes but it’s The first time I’ll be alone at my apartment during Christmas. Can’t you go to your family for Christmas?

I hope you all feel better quickly... Please do have a Covid test...
The experts have said that the fifth wave of Covid is making it's way through the US and that the Thanksgiving holiday will see it spread even faster than it already has been.
