The Lighting of a Giant Christmas Tree

I felt bad that I was not able to witness the lighting of our Christmas tree this year. For your information, it is located in the Upper Session Road, Baguio City. On the other hand, I was also glad not to attend for such an event because it was flocked by so many people. Good luck for them not to be infected with Covid 19. Are your city or place have Christmas tree now?

@zhangxueying I noticed that Hong Kong people love Christmas trees. In fact, I had seen purple ones before when visiting this place. In Guangdong province, I had seen only a few.

@Shavkat There should be a Christmas tree in the shopping mall a few days before Christmas. After all, this is a western festival. If it is the Spring Festival, it will be very different. People will prepare this grand festival very early. The Spring Festival will have a seven day legal holiday

Nice tree you have there Regarding my city, maybe they have already put up the Christmas tree. They usually do that in a garden. I haven't been to that place since months.

@Nawsheen Well, you are not alone. One of the family members got infected and the whole family was quarantined. Luckily, no one had the signs and symptoms during the 14 days quarantine period.

That's great! I have not checked our local park. They also install Christmas decors here.

No, mine just put wreath's with lights all over. I kinda of like my city but I kind of hate it too. I was thinking how it was when I was a kid to how it is now. Night and day and a lot more uppity and corporate and just not nearly as nice or fun. Covid I get, but these guys were alienating people a long time ago. Kind of like our whole country there is definitely a divide. I am glad you all celebrating though and hope there is no divide like that there.

In my house, we do not have any. It was being decided by the family. Things are limited because of this pandemic. I just hated those people who created it if it is deliberately done. Well, the culprit is still denying the fact.

Interesting, it doesn't look much like a US tree at all. I think they are lighting the tree up in the nearby city tomorrow. I would like to go, but I really don't like to drive in the dark, and especially not around here no streetlights in this area.

My city does not stick with the traditional Christmas tree. They tend to find a new theme every year. I assumed that they are showcasing the skills of creativeness. I guess it is best not to drive at night and be at home instead.

Our small town decorates a live tree that is growing there. Plus all the businesses decorate and the town does the light poles

I think we also have a tall pine tree that was decorated, too.

It's a pity people are still congregating in crowds when it could lead to dire consequences. The tree looks lovely.

I think city officials did not do well with the social distancing concern. Thanks for liking it.

It is a shame to not be able to see it, but being responsible is much more worth it. We might have something in the city, but I have never seen it. We do have festivals and such with Christmas lights, I have been to that before and it is very fun. We ourselves have a tiny Christmas tree that sits on a table.

Yeah it's very worrying when we attend an event with a lot of people there, because the pandemic is still happening. Here I don't celebrate Christmas because many people in Indonesia are Muslim, but there are also some people who celebrate it and we still respect it, that's tolerance.

@Shavkat Yeah we have a hard time managing people not to crowd, and all we have to do is just to take care of ourselves, that's the best.

Not quite. people tend to mostly decorate the outside and interiors only. if you should see a tree, then it would be in the houses. Not outside or in the town areas.
