Question Of The Day- Have You Found Yourself Complaining More Often?

I've noticed an increase in my complaining about things over the past 5 years. Maybe it's a sign of getting older and crankier, or could it be there's more things to complain about today.
One thing that really annoys me is constantly getting barraged by businesses wanting you to complete an online survey, every time you buy something. Another is having to complete a phone survey when you contact customer service for assistance. If I spent my time answering every survey seeker asking, "How Are We Doing," I'd have little time to accomplish things I need to do with my own day!
A second example would be receiving poor customer service either on the phone or at a store. Once I was overcharged for hospital bills and the medical representatives just kept giving me the run-around causing me to play phone tag contacting various departments. A real waste of time with no results. My insurer was no better, doing little to settle the claim on my behalf. Is it me or do some representatives just not want to go the extra mile to help the customer?
Well, there you go it must be true. Look how I just complained in this post,
I guess I have turned into a big complainer.
Have you experienced similar experiences? If you were to make a list of complaints, what would they be about?

Generally, I’ll complain quickly (“oh, man, they’re out of this AGAIN??”), then forget about it.
My complaints are usually about the “red tape” at the VA hospital.

@dgobucks226 — believe me, the VA is much better than it was 20 years ago.

I can understand that. Gee I thought the VA hospitals were getting better? I experienced a problem with getting a competent repairman from Comcast to properly install my service. Put on hold, hung up on while waiting, and switched from department to department to schedule my service repair.
Seems corporations, agencies and bureaucracies, make for the most red tape and headaches.

@FourWalls I think when it got exposed in the media changes and firings were made. I remember my dad having trouble, but after these stories came out, they bent over backwards to accommodate him. He even got special walking shoes to aid his arthritic feet
I guess that shook them up?

Poor customer service is my number one complaint. Having to wait 40 minutes to talk to an IRS employee is another complaint.

@dgobucks226 So many companies are suffering from lack of employees. I haven't figured out yet why people don't want to work.

@LindaOHio I guess the money they received from those stimulus checks has not run out yet. And with extended unemployment benefits in many states, being paid not to work is why so many jobs are available out there.

Yes, I agree I find dealing with customer service people can be really annoying. And the wait times are ridiculous. Sometimes I find it's worth the stamp to contact them by mail if possible and leave my number to call. Kind of put the shoe on the other foot

I've had some efficient customer service and some really horrible service. I think companies having surveys for customers to complete, although annoying, has helped in this regard. Old age brings wisdom and little patience for incompetence

I agree. They say patience is a virtue. Something that at times I find really challenging dealing with customer service people on the phone. Especially when you need the situation resolved.

It does seem like there is !ore to complain about these days. I think the thing that has really bugged me is businesses using Covid as an excuse for poor or non existent service. That has happened so many times with the pandemic and people are tired of it.

I think the cornoavirus has added to my crankiness and given me something more to complain about.

I would have to say, I'm about the same in terms of my complaints. I've also learned not to let little things get to me as easily, too.

It seems okay to complain if it really is annoying. I don't complain much

Most times complaining doesn't change the situation, but it may make you feel better to get it off your chest.

I try not to let little things bother me much it is the big things that make me crazy, I have been doing some surveys and on one site I have already cashed out twice with small amounts but they do help, Now I am up against another site where I have some money I could cash out, The problem? They wan to verify if I am who I am and I can't get them to give me a reasonable solution how to come by this, They annoy me so much and I would not want to leave the site without at least getting one payment talk about complaints I have plenty with them

I had a similar problem with a site that sells your used clothes. Fortunately, it was resolved. A case of great customer service

There are plenty of irritations every day. Sometimes they make me so aggravated, other times I try to let them go.
