Today was Errand Day!

I worked at the boutique yesterday and usually take it easy on the following day but today I wanted to get out of the house. Plus, I had a wreath in my car that goes on the outside of the boutique that I forgot to put inside last night when I locked up and left. I actually went out the back door (it locks by itself) instead of going all the way across the store and have to physically lock outside door. I had a armful of things to take out also. So I chose the back door and walked around to the front to my car. That is when I saw the football wreath on the door. I jumped out of my car and got the wreath and tossed it in the backseat of the car.
I then sent one of the owners a text to let her know I had the wreath so they wouldn't think it was missing (which it was anyway...lol). She said no problem, do you want me to deactivate the alarm so you can run it back inside? I told her I had already left which I had so she said that's okay.
This bothered me after I got home and got to thinking that if I was the one selling the wreaths in there I wouldn't be happy that the football wreath was going for a joyride and not in the store or on display for customers to see and purchase. When I woke up this morning this was on my mind so I arranged my day to return the wreath, do a little shopping and visit my new 2 month old cousin, his mamma, his grandma and great grandmother.
All in all it was an enjoyable day. The only thing I did not get done was through to the office personnel at the nursing home. They have a bad communication problem there. I'll try again tomorrow.
How was your day?

I had a nice boring day. That’s how I like my days.
I remember from my aunt’s time in a nursing home that they’re pretty deaf in the office. All they want is your money.

That is exactly right! I have my mom's payment done a month in advance so Dec. was paid when I got her monthly statement. They had a note to call the office because she still has partial past due which was their error when they admitted her not verifying her Medicaid when I was told by soical worker that they were handling the application which I found out 3 months later was never done. Eyeroll. They are such an ordeal to deal with.

@kareng — and if they’re treating the person with the pocketbook like that, just imagine how the patient is being treated.

All done now. Nursing home, you work there? A nice visit with your family, sweet! Mine okay. Got last minute shopping done in this Senior discount day. Weather report, rain coming.

@oahuwriter If I can ever get the Social Worker on the phone to make an appointment. I'm about ready to go postal on those people.

@DocAndersen It will be interesting to see where Coach O ends up. I don't think he is ready to retire yet. Univ. of Lafayette has opening now; Florida hired their coach.

You chose a cute picture from Pixabay.
I think the wreath would have been on my mind the whole time too until it got back where it belonged.
I'm glad you could visit your two-month-old cousin and family.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I did have a nice Christmas and I hope you did as well!!
I think the fact that I brought the wreath home is going to go down in history with the folks there at the boutique. One of the owners always jokes now for me to bring the wreath inside and not my car when she is there at closing.
Happy New Year!

I am picking up the custom made/painted Mavel canvas pictures for two of the grandsons tomorrow on way to their house. I also need to pick up a gift card at the boutique since I never found the "perfect" gift for one of the girls. I know she will be able to find something that she will love at Girl Boss Boutique!! So that is what she is getting and my "fall - back plan." So, I'm ready!!
