Our 'living' Christmas tree is installed

Over the years, we have had a few Christmas trees of one sort or another. Vince has always liked a pine or eucalyptus branch but of course they drop leaves as they wilt. We also had several non-living trees.
However, this year we are hoping we found the ideal solution to this yearly debate. We have bought a ‘living’ Christmas tree. It’s a Cupressocyparis macrocarpa (Lemon Scent). It has a lovely Christmas tree shape but doesn’t support ornaments very well. I’ll find somewhere else for the ornaments.
The ticket attached to the tree says the leaves will be a golden yellow when planted in full sun and deep green if placed in a fully shaded area. I’m hoping it can stay in its pot for at least another Christmas. In the meantime, I think it looks quite nice in our hallway.

@JudyEv By next year you might be able to put a few decorations on it also.

I am thinking about buying a living Christmas tree. That way; I can plant it outside when Christmas is over.

That is my kind of Xmas tree.
You could.of.course.put it in a bigger pot instead of planting it out.
Might be OK for a few years in a pot Judy

I like your tree. Mine is artificial and just a little larger than yours. I said I wouldn’t put it up or celebrate Christmas but I’m changing my mind. Leo and my son would want me to carry on. It will be a sad Christmas but I’ll do my best in their honor.

I'm sure it is incredibly difficult at the moment but, as you say, they'd want you to carry on. This Saturday, we are going to my brother-in-law's. It should have been their 50th wedding anniversary but his wife passed away just a few months ago. However, we'll have afternoon tea and honour the day and Kerry in this way.

that is a great idea, many are doing that now. it is so sad to cut down a tree just for 12 days.

You could decorate it with tinsel or ribbon or cut out some magazine pictures of ornaments and tuck them in.
