December 10 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been good. I didn't go to the YWCA this morning. I also didn't think I would get any exercise. All the walking I did yesterday at the Garden of Light event took a toll on me.
However ...
I'm thankful I didn't go to the Y this morning because the roads looked like glare ice as I expected they would.
I'm thankful I got my walk this morning in the hallway. I got four laps this morning and have since done two more laps. All the aches and pains disappeared when I showered and started walking. 
I'm thankful for the time I was here this morning. I made headway with the notifications and visited with you. It's always good knowing what's going on in your world.
I'm thankful for the work I did on my friend's book. It's coming along well.
I'm thankful my sister called. She had bad news, but she sounded okay with all the pain she's in. She fell off a ladder and broke her shoulder in four places. It's going to be a while before she'll use her arm again normally. I'm glad she called to tell me. We used to be a family that didn't tell anyone anything.
Okay, that's my day. It was good, and my sister will be fine when her shoulder heals.
The snow should start soon. I don't know what they updated the totals too. I hope they didn't lower them. Yesterday they said 6-9 inches. Then I heard 3-6. I'm hoping we get the greater number. I love snow. I'm not afraid to drive in it, even with the accident I had last Sunday when I landed in a ditch. I'm just more cautious.

I'm glad you didn't go out in the icy conditions, either. Sometimes moving is the best medicine. I'm glad to hear a shower and a walk in the hall helped. Sounds like you are having very productive days.

Thank you. I am and hope to see headway soon unless Christmas eating puts a stop to that. I have a plan I'm hoping will work to curb those calories for Christmas. I might need to do extra walking to achieve success.

I didn't realize you had a sister. And I'm sorry she fell off the ladder. That's why it's rather not get on one anymore but sometimes it's necessary unfortunately.
Be careful when our driving even running into curbs can mess up a car.
I hope you get your snow and that there precipitation streets clear from us. We're supposed to get rain and warmer temps for a few days it's your snow coming soon?

I don't like ladders so I stay off them as much as possible. She is three years younger than me.
Winter driving isn't easy. I try to be cautious, but you never know when you're going to hit a patch of black ice hidden under snow, which is what happened last Sunday.
We got rain during the night. It changed over to snow now. I saw a warm-up on our weather map too. It didn't make me happy.

six inches of snow, that's quite a bit, on top of what we already have. North of us, they have a lot more snow! Sorry to hear about your sister breaking her shoulder. Is she the sister who stayed with you, after your knee surgery? Staying indoors is the safest option for you:)

Thankful for a warm dry day at the auction. And giving my friend a huge hug. She cried a little when I did that.

Ouch! Sorry about your sister. Glad she told you though, that's a good sign .
Either amount would make me happy right now since we still haven't gotten anything, but 6-9 sounds so much better lol.

Glad you had a good day, that's always nice. Hope she will heal just fine! Wow, lots of snow there it sounds like....none here yet thankfully. Want none at all...mountains are supposed to get 24 inches or so over the weekend.

I am thankful that although the day got off to a rough start a couple of good things happened. UPS picked up my package to go back to Amazon so yay, so sorry about your sis...not good at all. That must be incredibly painful.

Safer to stay in when it is icy then to take a chance. I hope you get a lot of snow. We will have some storms late tonight through tomorrow morning.
I'm thankful for Christmas carols. enjoyed listening to some today while working around the house.
