December 22 - What I'm Thankful for Today

You know it's the end of the year. More people are showing up at the pool. It was a busy morning.
I'm thankful I got to the Y this morning and had a good workout in the pool and fitness center. It was a little crowded in the pool, but I did get my full time in the pool before heading to the hot tub for my round of exercises and enjoying the jets. I did 30 minutes each on the elliptical and bike this morning and I'm doing 100 reps on the leg press at 60 pounds in the fitness center. It helps to watch TV while I'm working out as it makes the time go faster, even if it is a Hallmark Christmas movie that just makes me shake my head at the stupidity of the scripts. YES, I can write better than that.
I'm thankful for the nap when I got home. It was another 1:30 AM morning. The two-hour nap felt good.
I'm thankful for my time here. I enjoyed visiting with you. I'm not finished with the notifications, but it is time to get off the computer.
I'm thankful I called my friend at just the right time. She was holding the printed e-mail in her hand from Amazon telling her that her book is now available on Amazon. I'm so happy for her. I told her I've been promoting her book to everyone I talked to.
Okay, I'm headed for the shower. I need a hot shower, the temp is so cold out, I'm freezing. I'm hiking the thermostat up a bit too. I have it set at 77. I'm going to put it at 80. Maybe then I'll get warm. One thing I hate about the change in seasons is the body needs to acclimate. It's not immediate. So, yes, I'm cold and need to warm up.

I'm thankful I don't live with you! 77 or 80F would fry me! We have our thermostat set at 72F because Pretty will have electric heaters blazing in every room if I don't keep it that warm. (I only wear a pair of gym shorts in the house while she wears sweats. Crazy women.

I didn't turn it up to 80. I did get warm though finally.
Gym shorts, SMH. I find my thermostat reads 72 in the morning before I turn it up. Which in that case, you would never turn it up. It has gone down to 70 on some mornings.

@just4him I'm lucky if the thermostat lets the temp drop to 70 before it kicks back on. (We have a Trane heat/air here and it holds the house at a steady temp.)
Pretty has called me to her room for something a couple of times and I'm smothering as soon as she opens her door.

@DaddyEvil That's good you can control the heat in different rooms. I have one of those fancy heat/air thermostats. It took me a bit to figure it out. I turn it down before I go to bed.

I'm thankful for these fleece lined pants I'm wearing! I never knew they existed! Our temp has gone up since yesterday, it's around 30 degrees outside. We will be decorating the Christmas tree tonight, fun for us to share!

Thankful for another day and able to do my online work, Thankful that finally, Christmas will be here again, It seems to have some how snuck up on me this year, So much to still do but thankful I am able to handle it all,

That's awesome about your friends book! Congratulations to them.
Hope you've warmed up by now. I've gone hot to cold off and on for days. Might have a cold i guess. I do have a slight fever. Oh well. Rest is my middle name anyways lol.

Sounds like you had a busy day. Congratulations to your friend and having her book for sale now. I stopped watching Hallmark Christmas movies, the same script a few different actors. 
I'm thankful for indoor plumbing. Been watching again, Little House on The Prairie in the mornings, and watching them have to go outside to the outhouse no matter what the weather was.
