Question: 'Did you ever go clubbing?'

To make it clear, I am referring to the word 'clubbing' as going from one club to another. Well, I did try this during my university days. My friends and I usually do this every Friday or Saturday night. It is a way for us to unwind or loosen up. We prefer clubs with live bands. Discos are not in our vocabulary at that time. Honestly, I am not feeling regretful that I had experienced this before. At some point, I considered it as a learning process to be a social butterfly. My friends and I always picked one bar/"club" to go to for that evening/night and stayed there until time for us to go home. There were three different bars/clubs we went to the most.

Since we were still students at that time and had no budget for clubbing, we tend to have the housewarming option instead. It was really fun to be with close friends. Are you still in contact with them?

@Shavkat Unfortunately, no... One night I wasn't feeling well and they went without me. I had always been the designated driver since I didn't like to drink. On their way home that night their car crossed the center line of the highway and into the path of a semi truck. I still think about them at times and wish I had gone anyway.

I only do this if I am with my college friends. At some point, it developed my persona as an ambivert.

@LadyDuck My family left me when entering my freshman in university at that time. But then, I still keep good grades despite having this activity with my friends. Now, I am not into it. If my parents are with me during those days, I am sure I will be a homebody.

@Shavkat - when I was young, my parents did not let me go out clubbing. I was only 20 when I got married and my husband never liked going to clubs.

Honestly, I prefer bar-hopping to clubbing though. If I am with a group of people who love dancing, I can join in.

Oh yes. I was a club hopper!! My favorite club was this regae club. I went on Wednesdays and danced the nite away!! My favorite club

@Shavkat I cannot remember if I ever went clubbing. I do remember that I went to bars. In college I went to parties.

@Shavkat I went with a friend and everyone wanted her and not me. When we were sitting with others they were trying to guess what I was and when I told them I was Jewish then they told me they had Jewish friends and I told them that I do too. I hated bars and did not feel comfortable in them just like I hated dances where I stood off to the side and was not asked to dance.

I know some people who have never been doing this kind of social event. Those are connected to their religions for not being like it.
