Willful Ignorance

We've all seen this in action, haven't we? Stupid people who think they are above it all and know it all. People who believe in idiotic conspiracy theories. People who think their antiquated or unsubstantiated ideas are correct. And, now even the people working on The Hill are subject to this "willful ignorance". They are so mean to Dr. Fauci. He is such a strong person to withstand their meanness. I think that people on The Hill, that are supposed to be running our government with some dignity and knowledge, need to go to a daily learning school and learn about the things they are so ignorant about. They are trying to do away with many of our voting laws. They want to do away with democracy as we know it. So many other issues as well. What are your thoughts on this issue? What basic concerns about life in the US do you have?
For me, I worry about Social Security, housing in my area, medical care for seniors, the future, and how democracy will look in the future.

I believe no one person can claim to know everything, including so-called experts. I don't believe most of what's said, and take most things with a grain of salt. I trust myself and my own judgment on what is and isn't right for me. I'll take advice, but if it's not right or doesn't feel right I won't follow it.
Science is changing, that's what makes it what it is. What we know now won't be the same tomorrow. You need to do your own research and do what you feel is right for you, and not everyone else.

There are no people around that can say they know everything. I agree with you that it is important to worry about what is happening in the areas where we live and what can affect us,

I think that the Republicans on The Hill are the drama kings of the world. My family was all Republicans and I never thought much about it in my childhood. Now, I am democratic through and through and really wonder about what I have seen Republicans doing. Mostly on The Hill what I am meaning.

@celticeagle Russia continue to move troops to Ukraine border. I hope they are not going to invade Ukraine, but I also hope that Biden will not move troops to stop Russians... you are not this side of the Ocean, but we are and we do not want a WW3 on our territories.

All they care about is themselves. Their money and power. They are slowly taking our rights away. One step at a time easing things in. I'm worried about things getting so high to basically live like food and such.
Like when we gat a raise on our already meager checks. Then our medical insurance is raised to twice the raises amount. What good is the raise? They no longer care for the common person that is their job to be helping.
