Storms are starting to approach our area. Just as predicted. Gusty winds since early this morning. And the temperatures are in the 70s. Unfortunately that is a good atmosphere for tornadoes. We will hope for the best.
A tornado watch is in effect through 6pm in western and middle Tennessee and south-central Kentucky, including Nashville. This area will be favorable for tornadoes and damaging wind gusts.

Yep, I’m watching WSMV’s coverage online. We’ve had some tornado warnings in southern Kentucky (sadly, right in the same areas hit on December 10
), but locally it’s just a flooding issue. Stay safe!

@CarolDM — thankfully, we’re in the “safe zone.” The temperature has stayed the same all day long, so we haven’t had any volatility in the atmosphere.

@FourWalls Oh that is great to hear. Just had a huge bolt of lightning and thunder that shook the house. Rain is pouring.

I heard that there were more storms going to this area last evening on the news.
I hope that you remain safe, and the kitties of course.
Its so much for people to be constantly prepared, especially during the holidays and in a pandemic. I hope that everyone heeds the warnings.

We just went through the worst of those storms overnight. We had 62F yesterday. Then it started storming last night with high winds. This morning the temp was still 52F with thick fog. (Pretty and I had to make a quick trip a few minutes ago and I had t chisel the windshield wipers loose from the windshield before we could leave.) The temp is at 29F now and is supposed to reach 9F by nightfall.
I wish you well in the storms.

@CarolDM You're welcome. No matter what the forecast said, I don't think we expected it to get so cold so fast.

Yes, the warmer weather increases the chance for tornadoes. Stay safe. We had high winds and freezing drizzle.

That's really something to worry. Hope the tornado gets weak and does not do much damage.
