There was some broth in the fridge.

Sometimes my fridge is so full of this and that and Luna ends up eating very good food that I might have eaten I had seen it.
Last week, she had a delicious broth. So this week I decided that she wouldn´t have it. She always has all the dog food a well nourished dog might wish.
The pot was big (where I had cooked the chicken breast) so part of the regrigerator was spent on one pot. So I took it out.
I´m now boiling some corn and got two basil leaves from the plants at the terrace. I also found some cream in the fridge and I always have milk.
I will make a wonderful corn soup for tonight. I will blend it all and serve it in a mug to eat in my bed while I watch TV.
I love to make these wonder soups from whatever is at home. How about you? I haven´t followed recipes for a long time. There is no such a cook book of left overs

@marguicha I cleaned out my fridge yesterday. It's new and good to find out that all the shelves come out completely. It's very easy to clean.

@JudyEv The shelves of mine come out too. But first you have to empty them

Yesterday I thought that I would save part for today, but it was so delicious that I ate it all.

@LadyDuck I always make minestrone the day after I make pasta with pesto. If there is any left, of course.

I use up leftovers all the time in making something new. (Pretty won't eat anything that's left over, but I will.) But I usually freeze leftovers in individual servings, too. *shrug*
What are "recipes"?

Recipes are the exact way one must cook everything. I don´t follow cook book rules. I use what I have. The corn soup is delicious.

Me too. And when I don´t like them, I have discovered that Luna does.

@marguicha I bought cookbooks and collected recipes but I never look at them. I should give mine away If anyone wanted them.

Corn soup sounds great. I love chicken corn chowder. I can't cook anymore; so it's up to my husband to control what is in the fridge.

I have all of them in a high part of the kitchen and never even look at anyone except for the Joy of Cooking.

Your soup sounds very delicious, I usually just take things I have at home and throw them together and come out with all kinds of good meals, I have plenty of recipe books but being on my won I have not used any of them I just rather make small meals with what I think will taste good,

Many times, a leftover with a twist will be better than the original dish.

@marguicha
I either make things I once found online and remembered how to make them and have found recipes I like to use.
