Blueberry Pies

I decided on blueberry and went with mini-pies. They are equal to one slice of a 9" pie.
I prefer pie to cake or cookies. Unless it's cheesecake.
Do you like to make your own treats at home or do you buy them from a bakery or market?
When you make goodies at home, what is it that you enjoy most?
Eating or making?

I made 8 pies but there's only 7 in the photo lol
I have enough pie crust left for 8 more mini pies or a 9"
I was trying to decide between blueberry or apple crumb.
Now you have me wanting to make apple hahah.

The kids would sometimes roll their eyes when I said I was going to something new lol.
At 36 and 33, my kids ask me to mail them goodies now

You could use all vegetable shortening in the crust and artificial sweetener in the filling if you wanted

I froze a lot of fresh blueberries last summer. I use them for blueberry muffins and pies. Yours look delicious.

I had already used up all my berries from last year. I was just at a discount market and there was a huge package of fat blueberries that I couldn't pass up. I froze half of it but still had 6 cups that had to be used up.
I think you've prompted me into making blueberry muffins tomorrow.

Those blueberry pies look good, I am not too much into sweets, Occasionally I will have some chocolate cake and will either make it myself or buy some, One thing I do really like are jelly donuts and I get them now and then from Dunkins

It's fun to bake goodies.
I made enough pies to freeze some away but there are only two left lol.

That's fun too. There are some pie shops around here that have incredible pies. I'll purchase them too if it's an extravagant or elaborate creation.
If it's just a fruit, cream or meat pie, I'll make it myself.

It's nice because I don't need a plate or a fork and the pies can be frozen to eat later.
It's just two of us here now and this way, I don't have to be a glutton or see pie go to waste.

Oh noooo, blueberry is a weakness of mine! I want one!
I will make things at home if I'm in a not-lazy mood. Which is rare, lol. I also just sort of love walking into bakeries and smelling the air. I could never go on a carb-free diet, if it's a baked good I need it or I'll die. I'm convinced.
My favorites are just plain fresh baked bread (usually just basic white/French/Italian bread), cherry or apple pies are my favorite of all pie flavors, brownies, or cake. As far as cake flavors go I love cherry chip, funfetti, lemon, and for some reason I really love that yellow cake with chocolate frosting.
Also anything that's a donut I'll eat with glee.

I love to cook and am proud to feed what I cook to other people. Of course, I have to sample everything I cook to make sure it meets my exacting standards before I let anyone else have any of it.
